Since 1994, I’ve held various positions in the Internet industry as a Program Coordinator, Content Engineer, Producer, Senior Producer, Director of Project Management, Web Content Manager and SEO Manager.


1994 – 1997


early 1997 to late 1998

I had the great pleasure to work for Organic Online, one of the top digital agencies of the time. Working for Jonathan Nelson and alongside people like Brian Behlendorf was a tremendous learning experience. Marita Scarfi was the Controller back then. I showed up for the interview wearing a tie and Toby Tolley greeted me wearing faded overalls. They weren’t so sure, but I knew I was in the right place!

Everything was new; information & site architecture, workflow processes, coding languages. Remote Desktop Publishing (early WordPress!). eCommerce was just getting started. We were using doors as desks, using BBEdit on Macs, answering email in Pine, tracking assets in Excel. Yes, pizza, rave parties, cash Christmas bonuses. Good times, good people. 1998

I picked up right where I left off, taking a Senior Producer position at ISL Consulting. Interesting outfit. Turned out the founder, David Ferguson, was the domestic partner of Ray Kassar, former CEO of Atari. Several original Warhol paintings in the office lobby. Not enough business strategy and too much drama, I stayed long enough to produce Flashpoint, then moved on …
